best live or acoustic version of lifehouse songs
hello everyone, i want to know your thoughts on which songs were best interpreted in an acoustic or live performance...by lifehouse.
for me..i like the "Blind" version that they performed live @ mount pleasant, i like this new take where jason sang the first verse and chorus more mellow, then went all out in the end (some melodies changed towards the end of the song which i think is great)
of course, the "Broken" version from the soundstage performance with the extended ending.... which they now regulary perform in their concerts as a finale.
i also really like the live acoustic version of "Take Me Away" live @ last call with carson daly and "Spin" version from AOL sessions..i like the acoustic rock out at the end. cool.
You can't go wrong with the 99x acoustic versions; my favorite is hanging by a moment. Those versions are what made me reallly fall in love with lifehouse.
And I love the from where you are version at Charlotte, NC on 5/22---I love what they did to the ending in it.
yay i was there! i didnt think it was special. not give me Better Luck Next Time from The PBS Soundstage. ill listen to that for days
There's a beautiful version of "Storm" from Nissan Live... you can actually see Jason's eyes all covered in tears... that version makes me cry

oh yeah 99x acoustic versions are the best from nnf era..
Somewhere In Between live from PBS Soundstage. I love the story behind this song. It's sweet! ![]()
I love Take Me Away and Everything from 2002 Amesterdam concert. My apologies to newer members but there was just something about this performance.
I have more but I have to visit my You Tube.
There are a lot of live and acoustic versions I love.
The ones Cindy calls are great, especially Take me away.

I agree those were great!
Klein, its a special day when you agree with me. Check.. : ) My emoticons aren't working.
Somebody Else's Song Live at Pop's in East St Louis 3/13/08. I posted it in What are you watching by mistake. It is a very sensual performance by Jason and caused a stir several months ago.
But for all the sexiness, it is a seriously awesome live performance of the song. I don't think Jason is even chewing gum. LOL
best live of version of Quasimodo = Amsterdam. hands down.
They rocked in Amsterdam, they should come back soon!
Anchor @ Pinkpop!
For Blind, it has to be the acoustic one they did for the first time ever @ The Boxx. Because of that stellar performance, I was in denial for days when I first heard the studio version of Blind lol. Of course, the recent live versions are wonderful to listen as well :)
The semi acoustic version of Mesmerized is also to die for @ San Diego.
I have so much respect for Jason Wade but this video makes me fall in love with his voice and face all over again!
(Sorry, I couldn't resist!) ![]()
haha...Jonah is such a JIHer!
LOL....that is such an excellent song. Every time I hear it, though I say to myself....now THAT is the best version of Blind I've ever heard. How can that be? They can't ALL be the best. hehe
What's a JIHer? Sorry but is that some kind of a gay lingo? lol
Oh! You don't know what a JIHer is, yet? I'm sorry. Let me school you on that. ![]()
Definition of a JIHer:
A girl (usually teenager) who is intensely obsessed with Lifehouse but only because she is delusionally lusting after Jason Wade to the point where only her hormone levels are doing her talking for her.
Her war cry can be heard at concerts as, "Jason is HOT!" or "I loooooove you Jason" or some variation of that. They just scream it out at random moments during concerts. Hence the "JIH" (Jason is hot) term. Superfans usually find them annoying because they end up ruining good videos of live performances and they generally act quite immateur at concerts.
They might say something like, "Jason, can I have your shoes" or "Winnie, have you ever touched Jason?" and then scream when he says "Um, yeah....I hand him his guitars." hahahahaha
These JIHers also find their way onto the internet and usually comment on the videos not based at all on the musicianship of the band or Jason but rather on the looks of Jason.
Something like that.....other people can correct me if I'm wrong. ![]()
Oh, and you are NOT one, BTW. I don't think...haha....I was just teasing. :D That being said, many Superfans have their JIH moments. It's just part of life. haha And JIHer's do purchase concert tickets and buy CD's, so hey....they are part of the Lifehouse community too.
Thanks for schooling me! lol
Haha I don't think I remember describing Jason as hot.
I just think that he's a great musician! So I'm more of a JIAGMer than a JIHer. ![]()
